At the Richmond group we don't like handing out orders. Wherever possible we try to get operators and managers involved in policy decisions. As a manager you get weekly strategy meetings where you are expected to make an active contribution towards the direction of the group. As an operator you can expect your manager to ask for, and value your opinion. To ensure that your voice is being heard, whatever your position, you will get to meet with the Managing director at least once a month for a minimum of an hour.
Whilst so many large corporations are increasingly checking performance, and awarding praise, based only on the statistical output of a database or telephone system, we are going in a different direction. To us your drive, enthusiasm, ability to help others in your team and your ability to think around problems are more important than the number of cases you can complete. Whilst performance is monitored, we base promotion on the way you do things, not just what you do. This means that managers at the Richmond Group are expected to create a vibrant positive working environment full of happy engaged team members, not just to get the work done.
With daily feedback, detailed monthly appraisals, personal and team goals to aim for, and an awareness of how your input is making a difference to our overall mission, you will never be left wondering if what you do makes a difference. We believe in positive reinforcement and open honest feedback. We know that we enjoy knowing how well we are doing and are sure that you will too. |
